I have found myself up at Lake Gregory more than I expected over the last couple years, mainly because our good friends live here! Sometimes we get to dog-sit for them a couple weeks at a time. Justin and I like to take walks around Lake Gregory, sit on the balcony and overlook the trees and lake, and enjoy time in the mountains. One major advantage to staying here is getting to plan Lake Gregory engagement photos for my couples!
There’s plenty of areas around Lake Gregory for beautiful engagement photos–whether you want to plan for a trail with greenery in the spring, or you want to jump in the lake, there’s corners all around Crestline that are perfect for an engagement shoot.
Another major advantage to frequenting Lake Gregory is that I am a Miller’s Landing Arrowhead photographer! That means I get several sweet wedding couples who want a mountainous engagement shoot! To add variety to their photos, we often shoot down the hill in Crestline. It just adds such a fun touch to photos that they’ll use for their wedding up in Arrowhead.
Rebecca and Travis are one of those sweet couples from Miller’s Landing Arrowhead who wanted beautiful greenery in their photos to display in their home. We nailed it with the pine trees all around Lake Gregory for their engagement photos.
We of course explored various spots on the banks of Lake Gregory. From a little plateau overlooking the water, to sitting on the trail and jumping in the water, Rebecca and Travis got a ton of variety during their engagement shoot.
I love capturing crisp portraits. But sometimes, sprinkling in some other types of photos can be super fun. Often, I have brides who love motion blur photos. Motion blur photos capture movement and momentary moments in a really fun way. They always remind me of impressionist paintings that capture just a glimpse of time.
Overall, this shoot was just the sweetest time, and I can’t wait for their wedding in just a week!
