One of my favorite venues is Miller’s Landing Arrowhead; weddings here are so beautiful and the venue is so easy to work in. I have a post that describes various parts of this venue, so in this post I’m going to highlight details of this wedding that I loved.
The Dress + Veil
Becca’s dress had stunning lace, and detachable sleeves. I’m seeing this trend a LOT lately, and I LOVE it. Having little detachable sleeves on your dress can change the vibe just enough to make super fun variation throughout your wedding. Her veil was covered in pearls, another stunning trend. So much fun texture and class.
The Florals
Monica from Bloomie Creations did it again! She had such beautiful floral pieces with warmth and greenery. My favorite little accent flower is always chamomile, and she gave me extra pieces to include in flat lay photos.
Golden Hour Portraits
Golden hour in the mountains always tends to be a little bit earlier than usual because of tree cover. At Miller’s Landing Arrowhead, I love to account for where the sun will hide to make sure we get beautiful portraits before it sets. If you are able to plan with your coordinator and photographer for cocktail hour to overlap with this time, you’ll get some beautiful photos without having to leave the reception or venue for sunset photos. These are my fave part of the day.
The Party
I love some direct flash photos for wedding receptions, and it’s perfect for receptions in the Miller’s Landing Arrowhead barn. When dancing time comes around, the lights go down, and usually the DJ’s have super fun lights to make it a PARTY. I love playing with angles and shutter drag photos.
Getaway Outfit
Becca changed into a super cute short dress for her send off, with nothing less than tall white cowboy boots and white heart sunglasses. She and Travis left Miller’s Landing Arrowhead in her Grandpas vintage car, and it was way too cute.
