It’s time again for another Lake Arrowhead wedding, which is always green, romantic, and earthy. I love Lake Arrowhead; specifically Miller’s Landing is such a great, family owned venue if you’re looking for the perfectly sized wedding spot in Lake Arrowhead.
The first time I met Phoebe and Carson was over a video call after they inquired. That day was particularly weird for me up until that call. Our wifi and phone service was out in my area, and I had to run around town to get work done. When I got on the call with these two, we immediately connected and laughed our way through the call. We all knew this was going to be the perfect fit for their wedding photography in Lake Arrowhead. Between Carson’s love of plants and my background in paleontology, were all SO excited for their engagement shoot.
When I showed up to their wedding, I kept making comments about every detail. Phoebe said she was listening and I had been describing it the exact way she was hoping. Everything was falling together to perfectly fit their vibe. Whimsical, romantic, and bright.
The Details
I spent several minutes getting the details in a flat lay, and between her invitations for the Lake Arrowhead wedding, to the florals and vintage inspired jewelry dish, everything was magical. I absolutely love when a couple has intentional details that fit the whole theme of the day. It can really set the tone and reflect your style! We also got the cutest photos of the bride and her dad during their first look and a gift exchange.
The Portraits
Their first look was one of the sweetest reactions I’ve seen. Immediate tears and exclamations of “Oh my gosh, we’re getting married!!”

Tip: Always make sure you know if the sun is going to disappear behind the trees or mountains when planning when to do sunset photos! At this Lake Arrowhead venue, the trees provide some nice filtering of the light that lets us do sunset photos before the true sunset time, which is perfect for cocktail hour.
