Some weddings feel big the second you walk in the room.
Partiksha and Erick’s was one of those—rooted in tradition, family, and coming together.
Jaggo Night
Justin and I started documenting their celebration the night before the wedding during their Jaggo night at The Oaks Club at Valencia. It was full of music, drums, dancing, and food, with friends and family gathering around them to celebrate. The energy was BIG. As a Los Angeles wedding photographer and videographer team, getting to document events like this always adds so much depth to a wedding weekend. To spend time around the two families immersed in the rich culture was so special. One of the coolest things is documenting multi-day events, preserving all the big and small moments for our couples.

The Wedding Day
The wedding day itself began with a traditional Indian ceremony in Los Angeles. I was personally obsessed with all of the beautiful, colorful dresses. After the ceremony, we moved back to The Oaks Club with their family and bridal party. This group was cracking me up and was just so fun to work with. You meet a lot of different wedding parties as a Los Angeles wedding photographer. Some groups stick in your mind. This one definitely did! They all went home for a nap before we headed to the reception at the L.A. Banquets venue, The Landmark. I’m actually so stoked because I’ll be back to photographer another wedding here in 2026. I didn’t even put two and two together until I was shooting the reception.

The Reception
Their reception was beautifully designed, with absolutely luxurious details. There was SO much food, thoughtful styling, and a space that felt comfortable for people to truly enjoy themselves. As a Los Angeles wedding photographer and videographer team, we’re always paying attention to what the room is like. What’s the couple’s vibe? What have the spent hours planning and designing? Where are the shadows and the light? It all came together INCREDIBLY.

I can’t go on without talk about the florals from Thistle Oak Floral Co. Absolutely unreal designs with texture, whimsy and luxury. And of course, Tejal absolutely killed it at planning this complex and stunning day. She was communicative, brilliant, flexible, and just the best. Flawless timeline, flawless details.
As the night went on, speeches brought emotion and reflection, followed by dancing that filled the floor. I shot some film throughout the evening, adding a timeless, nostalgic layer to the story. Man, it was a good weekend.
