Riverbed Farm Wedding | Anaheim, CA

Adrian and Esther – Details I loved

In January, these two told me they wanted to hire a photographer from our church, if possible, and I was so honored when they told me they liked my editing style and wanted to use my package for their wedding! It is so sweet to capture couples from my own church and see them grow in their relationship!

Their wedding was beautiful, and this was largely due to the natural beauty of the venue they chose (more on that later). But they also handmade their centerpieces, arch flowers, and bouquets. Don’t get me wrong—I love a good florist, and it is a worthwhile investment if you have the budget! But some brides find other creative ways to use flowers in their wedding. Esther and her bridesmaids had the cutest bachelorette weekend together making their bouquets with flowers from Trader Joe’s and baking the reception desserts on their own. How fun is that? Brides, if you’re overwhelmed by the details, grab your bridesmaids and make a party out of it. These girls made so many memories together as they prepared for Esther’s wedding.

The Venue

Riverbed Farm is a hidden gem in Anaheim, CA for weddings. This venue is not only a sustainable farm, but a stunning and affordable location for your wedding. It has a rustic feel and so much greenery. I love this location for a few reasons, but one major one is the natural beauty— your floral costs won’t have to bear the weight of the wedding budget— they can be an added touch to the venue’s already present beauty.

I had never heard of Riverbed Farm, but this small venue is perfect for an intimate wedding. The greenhouse made for stunning photos in the morning. I recommend utilizing it while the sun is high, since it is filled with uneven light at sunset from the wood slats. But if you catch it at the right time, it is a dream. There are also rows and rows of vegetables and flowers growing that you can stand between for a first look or portraits.

This venue has one spot used for a bridal lounge with mirrors and a couch. There are windows on the west and south side of the room for natural light during your getting ready time. The ceremony space has a covered spot for the bride and groom to stand and exchange vows. The guests have benches to sit on which can be used with the reception tables after the ceremony, as well. Lastly, I love how the little cake cutting area was set up. The desserts will be shaded from the sun, during the afternoon, and if it’s still light out when you cut your cake, you will have perfect even light over you.

This wedding was so beautiful, and I want to shoot yours! Let’s make it happen!
