Romantic Wedding at the Griffith House in Anaheim | Rocco and Gabby

Rocco and Gabby got engaged several months ago at A Thousand Steps Beach in Laguna Beach, and I had the opportunity to capture that moment for them. Well, come December, I had the immense privilege of  walking alongside them through another milestone— their wedding day.

This day at the Griffith House was absolutely beautiful. The Spanish style building made for amazing photos inside and out. All over the house are beautiful doorways and halls, and the back has a patio and a chapel. The old chapel is where Rocco and Gabby shared their first look. Surrounded by stained glass windows, Rocco and Gabby exchanged gifts and letters to each other. We opened up one of the windows for natural light and the combination of stained glass and sunshine made for beautiful photos.

The house has two areas for getting ready (the groom’s lounge and bridal suite). The bride’s room has windows with romantic lace curtains and some natural light for photos. We also took advantage of the hallways along the house for portraits before the ceremony.

The outdoor ceremony space was beautifully backlit during sunset, as well as shaded with trees, which made for beautiful, even lighting during the ceremony. There is also plenty of room for family photos adjacent to the main church, which made family photos easily accessible for older family members to stay nearby their ceremony seats.

The Griffith House property also has a large lawn area great for a reception. The Romano’s reception had the most stunning centerpieces at their reception tables—colored glasses, old books, gold details, and richly colored florals.

Aside from the venue itself, this wedding was filled with rich and deep family moments. Capturing Gabby’s first look with her parents was so sweet and emotional for everyone. Her bridesmaid’s also surrounded her with adoration and love when she revealed her final look before seeing Rocco.

Rocco and Gabby chose to do their first look with gifts and letters to one another, and I definitely almost cried watching them as they cried. These two had waited so long for this day.

Congratulations to the Romanos!
