My Favorite Santa Clarita Wedding Venue
I’m no stranger to this Santa Clarita wedding venue, Canyon Oaks. It is my favorite place to shoot a wedding in the Santa Clarita Valley–from getting ready rooms to the perfect lawn for a ceremony, it has your essentials. I’ve shot three weddings here, now, and each had its own vibe and style while being at the same venue.
When Rachel and Stephen reached out about wedding photography and told me they were getting married at Canyon Oaks, I was SO excited. And everything this sweet couple dreamed up for their day was adorable.
The Details
I couldn’t believe how cute Rachel and Stephen’s wedding invitation was. Sprinkling their details all over it, from her white shoes to their fragrances, was so fun.
First Look and Vows
Light is always a really important factor on a wedding day, and this Santa Clarita venue has perfect lighting all day for everything you need. The first look here was in the fenced portion of the yard, shaded perfectly for private vows. So many happy tears!!
Ceremony Moments
Here are just a few of my favorite ceremony moments from this wedding. From walking down the aisle, to a beautiful communion, and a celebratory recessional, this was SO fun.
The Portraits
It’s my favorite when we get extra time for couple’s portraits on a wedding day. These two had opted to do all bridal party and family photos before their ceremony so they could have golden hour to themselves. It was no disappointment. Rachel wore her mom’s wedding dress, and Stephen wore a classic black tux. Everything was classic. The laughter and newlywed joy was unmatched.
The Party
In her initial inquiry, Rachel mentioned how much fun she thought direct flash reception photos are. I can’t agree more. I LOVE a full dance floor. And I LOVE using my flash to bring the vibes out. At the end of the night, Rachel and Stephen ran off to their honeymoon in new outfits and a Bronco. Unreal!
