Wrensmoor Castle is a new favorite wedding venue, and I will not stop raving about it. The sneak peeks from this weekend’s wedding speak for themselves.
The Details
With nothing less than vintage Jimmy Choo heels, a dress from Paris, and a historic castle in Los Angeles, Elysse and Joseph tied the knot on the most beautiful day at Wrensmoor Castle. Every detail, both at this wedding venue and brought in by the couple, was incredible. Wrensmoor Castle feels vintage, luxury, and timeless. The staircase is topped with a chandelier and it made the perfect spot for wedding detail photos. But more than the details, the moments and emotions were important to the bride and groom, and it was an honor to capture it all.
Small Moments Pre-Ceremony
From a teary first look to portraits with the people who make them who they are, the pre-ceremony moments were a favorite. Every detail between that I could sneak in, I did. Their full gallery is going to be incredible.
The Wrensmoor Castle Ceremony
The lawn in front of the house is perfect for a wedding ceremony. Not only in the beauty of the porch arches, but also the lighting was a photographer’s dream. It was shaded with golden beams of light popping out from the side of the lawn.
The Portraits
Golden Hour was perfect right after the ceremony for some beautiful photos. We found some stunning light on the lawn, and also explored the balconies from both ends of the house. And of course, the staircase was perfect for some romantic photos of these two starting their marriage together!
I always tell my couples, on your wedding day, make time for at least a few portraits of just you two during golden hour. These are the ones that will end up on your walls, on your coffee table, and on your Grandma’s mantle.
The Party
Market lights over the lawn area always a good call, and when you have a castle behind you, it just is a thousand times better. The courtyard had a fountain, a million candles, stunning florals, and such beautiful ambient light. Elevate your dance floor with a black and white checkered floor! This was SO fun. Using my flash for some dancing photos is always the best. It got even better when Elysse came out for an outfit change into the cutest two piece set with texture and shine. They tried their dessert on the stairs, full of newlywed giggles and kisses. They signed their marriage license with an Italian glass pen, and the party continued. I just loved every detail.
